Our Christian environment is enhanced by daily Bible lessons, scripture memorization and discussions regarding God and Jesus.

Service

Fulfilling Briarcrest's mission for service, Briarcrest students are taught to follow the example of Christ and serve others. Many service projects put Briarcrest students in the mission field to share the love of Christ with others, not only in the Mid-South, but throughout the world.

Each division organizes and participates in a number of service projects throughout the year. Participation in monthly service projects keep students, parents, and faculty aware of the need to help others and to create a servants spirit within everyone at Briarcrest. From our school-wide mission day to our club led and student led projects, students learn how to serve the community in which they live.

Chapel

Each week every Briarcrest student attends a chapel service that is led by staff, local ministers, or even fellow students. Each service is age-appropriate, Gospel-centered, and Biblically-based.  The purpose of chapel is to have a corporate worship experience in which students have the opportunity to meet Christ where they are with the ultimate goal of helping them to walk daily in a committed relationship with Jesus Christ.

Alt-Text

Students in Middle School’s Ovation and High School’s Worship Band help lead their peers in worship.  Approximately once per month High Schoolers will also have the opportunity to opt-in to Breakout Sessions (limited to 15 students) in which Gospel-based Biblical discussions take place on a smaller, more conversational level with faculty and local youth pastors.

RUSH week - short for “R U Seeking Him?”- is Briarcrest's spiritual emphasis week. Each fall, Briarcrest High School and Middle School set aside time to focus on deep spiritual growth in Christ.  Daily sessions during RUSH week includes faculty-led skits/games, chapel worship bands, and dynamic speakers to help our students intentionally grow in Jesus through Gospel-centered teaching and worship.  We seek to use this time as a launching-pad for spiritual growth throughout the remainder of the year!
