Saints move to 5-0 with regional win over Lausanne

The Saints moved their record to 5-0 on the year by defeating Lausanne Thursday night by a final of 17-3.  From the opening whistle, the Saints overwhelmed the Lynx and saw a commanding 15-1 lead heading into half.  The second half was evenually played but the Saints came out on top by a final of 17-3.  Senior attackman Zach Tucker once again paced the Saints with 6 goals on 15 shots, while fellow attackmen Jay Austin and Jake Purkey contribued 5 goals and 3 assists combined.  Freshman Lucas Odle got his first goal of the year on a great dodge and shot in the 3rd quarter.  Senior defenseman Andrew Votsmier notched his first point of the year as well, off a great interception and shot.  Junior Parker Green had 4 saves in 3 quarters of play, while Sophomore William Cummings had 2 saves without allowing a goal.  

The Saints will be on spring break next week, but will return to action the following Friday against Pembroke Hill from Illinois at MUS. Game time is slated for 5:30pm.
