Saints complete Nashville weekend with win over Ensworth 13-5

Another successful weekend trip found the Saints winning 2 games. The Saints defeated the Tigers of Ensworth High School by a score of 13-5 from Nashville. The Saints led at the half by a score of 7-2 and never let up. Against one of the best offenses in Division 2, the Saints defense led by Junior goalie Parker Green played stout for the whole game. Senior Andrew Votsmier, Junior Jack Rose, and Sophmore Tate Charping played key roles in getting the potent Tiger offense in check. The Saints were led offensively by senior attackmen Ben Austin and Zach Tucker who contributed 9 of the Saints 13 goals. Freshman Zach Laessig found the net for the first time of his varsity career. Senior Corey Lankford assisted on 4 Saints goals and was a key contributor in the faceoff circle. The Saints return to play on Thursday as they host regional opponent Lausanne from Clayton Field. Faceoff is scheduled for 6pm.
