Saints open up Nashville weekend with shutout win over USN Tigers

The Saints opened up TSLA divisional play with a 10-0 shutout of University School Nashville.  The Saints jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the end of the first and went into halftime by a score of 5-0.  In the 2nd half, the defense continued to shine and closed out the Tigers by a score of 10-0.  Junior goalie Parker Green had 7 saves while not allowing a goal thanks to a great defense effort by Andrew Votsmier, Tate Charping, Jack Rose, Miller Riggs, Tucker Lowrance, Greg Gallagher and Carrington Kelsey.  The Saints were led in scoring by senior captains Ben Austin and Zach Tucker who contributed 4 goals and 3 goals, respectively.  Junior Jake Purkey added a goal as well as freshman Jay Austin.  The Saints continue their Nashville trip with a game at Ensworth High School on Saturday at 2pm.
