Varsity Boys Basketball Team Dominate Court Over Christmas Break!

The Briarcrest Boys basketball team enjoyed the Christmas break by winning the two basketball tournaments they participated in.  The Saints started the holiday off by winning the Briarcrest Christmas Classic for the second year in a row!  The boys went 4 – 0 in the tournament and defeated Fayette Ware High School in the championship game. Cedric Henderson was named in Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year.  Freshmen Kennedy Chandler was also selected to the All Tournament team.
The Saints traveled to Illinois after Christmas to participate in the 57th Annual Mater Dei Tournament.  The Saints won all five games, including an exciting triple overtime game against the host Mater Dei Knights, on their way to the championship.  The Saints overall record now stands at 18-0.  The boys and girls are in action next Tuesday at Whitehaven, before returning home to Rowell Arena on January 12 to take on St. Agnes and Christian Brothers.
