What Security and Health Measures Does Briarcrest Have in Place?
At the Houston Levee campus, we have one nurse dedicated to the high school and another dedicated to the middle and elementary schools.
Our Houston Levee campus features an armed guard from a licensed security company at the main entrance that monitors traffic entering and exiting the campus between the end of morning drop-off and the beginning of afternoon pick-up. Our campus is secured by a fence and monitored gates surrounding the perimeter and features security cameras 24-hours a day. A magnetic swipe card system is positioned at each door and video call boxes have been installed to allow guests to be verified before entering the school buildings during most of the school day when building are locked. During these hours, people entering the school must swipe a card to enter the building or be let in by a campus assistant after verification is made.
The East Memphis campus also features a similar swipe card technology protocol when guests enter from the exterior of the campus. The East Memphis campus also has an internal swipe card system in place. Policies and protocols are in place at both campuses for all emergencies that may take place on campus.
