Senior Alexis Schoggen Signs To Play College LAX in Georgia

Senior Alexis Schoggen officially signed her letter of intent to continue her lacrosse career with Shorter University located in Rome, GA.  She will be flying with the Hawks fall of 2022.
Alexis has spent the last 7 years honing her skills under the tutelage of Coach Brandon Cavins, head coach of BCS Girls Lacrosse & founder of MemphisLax, along with Coach Brannon Lamb of Arlington Lacrosse Club & MemphisLax.
She is a member of the Spanish Club, Key Club, American Heart Association, and a D-Group leader at Briarcrest. Not only does she have a passion for lacrosse, but she also enjoys volunteering around the city.  Most notably, she was the recipient of the Nico Dailey Volunteer of the Year Award for Refuge Memphis, the creator of “Operation Perseverance” (a program that donates feminine products, schools supplies, and baby supplies for teen moms who are continuing their education), volunteers with Merge Memphis, Clare’s House by Merge Memphis (a women’s homeless shelter), and a member of the Pursuit of God Transformation Center in Frayser.
The youngest of four kids, Alexis moves into the next phase of life with great support from not just her family, but also her BCS family, the coaching staff and future teammates at Shorter University, her church family, and most importantly with the knowledge that God is in control and He gave her lacrosse!
