Student Athlete Garrett Hall Earns Scholarship to Play Tennis at the US Merchant Marine Academy

Congratulations to recent Briarcrest Christian School graduate Garrett Hall who signed his Letter of Intent to play tennis at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.  As a son of a military family,  Garrett has attended nine different schools on two continents throughout his K-12 education, including moving between his sophomore and junior years. Being signed to play tennis at a D3 university is a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication. Garrett first picked up a racket in the summer of 2016 while living on Bolling AFB in Washington, DC. From then on he has trained tirelessly in pursuit of a sport he loves.
Garrett has worked as hard in the classroom as he does on the court. He received service academy nominations from both Congressman Kustoff and Senator Alexander all while maintaining a 4.8 cumulative GPA and achieving an ACT super score of 31. Garrett is the Briarcrest Varsity Tennis Team Captain, the International Club President, and is an officer in the French Club. He is a member of both the National and French National Honor Societies. Garrett is active in the Grace Evangelical Church youth group. Lastly, he earned his Private Pilot’s License in January of 2021.
Garrett would like to thank his family, as well as the teachers, coaches and staff of Briarcrest Christian school and Briarcrest Tennis for all their time and dedication.
Go Mariners!
