BCS Senior Tara Lea Signs To Play Soccer At Arkansas State University Next Fall

Briarcrest Senior Tara Lea is a member of the 2019 TSSAA State Soccer Championship team capping a stellar Senior year at Briarcrest with the winning goal in the TSSAA State Championship game against Father Ryan in a 1-0 victory.  She was selected as a TSSAA All-Region Player in 2019.
Tara was a member of Briarcrest's 2016 TSSAA State Semi-finalist, 2017 TSSAA State Runner Up, 2018 TSSAA Sub-State finalists, and 2019 TSSAA State Champions.  She has contributed to four straight TSSAA Region Championships at Briarcrest 2016-2017-2018-2019 with the 2019 team being undefeated in TSSAA Region play and boasting of a 2-1 victory over then #6 in the nation Houston High School.
Tara plays club soccer with the Collierville Lobos Rush. She began her Lobos career as a U9 player.  Over the years, she has helped her teams not only compete in but win multiple tournament Championships including The Blues City, Wolf River Classic, Capital City, Rose Cup. GIT, Soccer Elite, John Talley Showcase, and many more.
Tara helped lead her 2019 team to the State Championship and National Regional Quarterfinals.
Tara volunteers for TOPSoccer and is a National Spanish Honor Society member.  At Briarcrest, she is a member and active participant in Pep Club, Spanish Club, Senior Buddies, D Group Leader.  In 2020, Tara will also begin her 3rd season on the Briarcrest softball team.
Tara will be playing DI college soccer with Arkansas State University in the Sun Belt conference.  Congratulations!
