Why Choose a Christian School?
Christian families make up the great majority of our enrollment, but we are also excited about the opportunity to minister to a child whose family is not Christian. An important part of our mission is that we are focused on both evangelism and discipleship.
Briarcrest partners with our parents to prepare our students for college and beyond. In today’s cultural climate, sin is being normalized. By preparing our students and teaching them through a focused, Christian worldview lens, we enable our students to dismantle what culture is advocating as normal. We equip them to have discernment in decision making as they mature in their faith. It is our desire to have our students graduate from Briarcrest to go into the world and be able to stand firm to present a defense of their faith when challenged with sin. 1 Peter 3:15
From kindergarten through twelfth grade, your child will spend about 16,000 hours in the classroom. Where do you want your child to spend that time? Do you want all of your child’s teachers to have the same values and belief system that you do? Do you want biblical principles to be incorporated into your child’s curriculum? Do you want your child to pray and be led in prayer? There is no such thing as a “value neutral” education. Gordon Clark, a Christian philosopher and theologian, said, “The school system that ignores God teaches its pupils to ignore God.”
Briarcrest offers a balanced, affordable, high-quality Christian education that meets the needs of students and parents alike. Our college preparatory academic program is one of the finest in the Mid-South. We are preparing our students for college and for life. We appreciate you helping spread the word about the value of a Briarcrest Christian School education to your friends and family.
