Briarcrest’s Academic Student Services program is tailored to support every student’s success through a personalized approach.
From kindergarten through high school graduation, we have the resources to meet children exactly where they are - based on their individual learning needs - to ensure they’re well-prepared to achieve and excel.
We offer expert academic counseling, college preparation, one-on-one and small group tutoring, and specialized Education Support Services (ESS) for students with diagnosed learning disabilities. In addition, our career preparation resources equip students with the skills and guidance needed for life beyond graduation. By combining rigorous academics with targeted student support services, we create an environment where students are empowered for lifelong learning and success.

Tutoring
Our Tutoring Program provides on-campus tutoring across a variety of subject areas to support students’ individual needs and promote academic success at Briarcrest. Sessions are available before, during (study hall), or after school and are offered in both individual and small group settings, typically lasting 30–45 minutes. Open to all students by teacher recommendation and administrative approval, the program offers targeted support in core subjects, homework assistance, and skill development to help improve grades and overall academic performance. Educational Support Services (ESS)
Educational Support Services (ESS)
The Educational Support Services (ESS) program at Briarcrest supports students with diagnosed learning disabilities and/or ADD/ADHD within a Christ-centered, college-preparatory environment. Through daily guidance from specially trained teachers, students receive personalized support using strategies like inclusion, classroom shadowing, and one-on-one assistance.
Our goal is to equip students with the academic skills, confidence, and independence needed to succeed in the classroom, in college, and in their God-given calling in life.
Admissions Requirements
Students must meet Briarcrest’s standard admissions criteria and provide a current psycho-educational evaluation (within three years) from a certified professional that includes diagnosis of disability, achievement scores, and an IQ of 100 or higher.
An additional tuition fee is charged for students enrolled in the ESS program. For more information, please contact the Admissions Office or ESS staff.
College Prep and Counseling
The College Counseling Program at Briarcrest is a highly personal and supportive process that involves matching students with colleges and universities that are best suited to their individual interests and goals. We look forward to working with you during this exciting time! Our robust ACT-prep program begins in middle school and continues through high school, helping students prepare for success on the standardized tests colleges use to assess readiness and competitiveness during their recruitment.
We frequently host representatives from America's top colleges and universities on our campus, enabling our students to have personal conversations as they determine schools of interest. Briarcrest students launch out to Ivy League universities, U.S. military academies, and prominent public state universities and private colleges.

Inspiring Future Leaders
Briarcrest invests in our students to help them identify and refine their God-given talents and skills so that they're prepared for productive and rewarding professional careers in the future.
In Elementary School, we offer experiences like Junior Achievement BizTown, an immersive opportunity where fifth grade students learn about a variety of industries, careers, and civic roles while working in teams to form real-world business plans and strategies.
Our Middle School students hear from guest speakers, take part in leadership cohorts, and participate in clubs that further develop their confidence in professional settings.
The Briarcrest Career Conference is a professional, off-site event for our high school juniors and seniors to explore careers and learn about emerging fields. Parents, alumni, and local professionals serve as career representatives, hosting interactive 30-minute sessions to share insights and guidance.
Students connect with professionals in areas of interest, gaining valuable exposure to career paths, college majors, and potential internships or job-shadowing opportunities. The conference begins with an inspiring keynote address, followed by three breakout sessions where students engage directly with career experts.
Tips for Students Attending the Career Conference: Dress in your best Chapel attire, come prepared to network, and explore careers that could shape your future.
For Parents: The conference is a unique chance for your student to meet professionals across diverse fields, from finance to theatre to medicine, building connections that may lead to internships, job shadows, or potentially even first jobs. Encourage your student to attend and network!
