The Briarcrest Christian School Athletics Program has a long and rich history of building championship teams and championship character - on and off the field. 

 

Our mission is to promote the highest standard of sportsmanship and develop athletes who demonstrate work ethic and integrity while performing at the highest levels. Christ-centered athletic environments are created by coaches who invest in our student athletes and challenge them to use their talent to the fullest.

From early elementary school to high school, our student-athletes train and compete in state-of-the-art facilities under the direction of exceptional, mission-minded coaches and athletic administrators.

The Best Athletes Deserve the Best Facilities

Opened in April 2024, the Petree Athletic Center (PAC) is the finest high school performance training facility in the region. It offers a "one-stop shop" for all of the athletic needs of our students. In 2025, Briarcrest's athletic facilities were ranked among the top 3 for all private schools in the state of Tennessee by The Tennessean.

The PAC features:

  • Lighted and covered 45,000-square foot artificial turf practice facility that protects student-athletes from the elements any time day or night

  • 17,000-square foot strength training center with adaptive digital technology and modernized weight lifting equipment

  • Modern student lounge and nutrition station

  • Athletic training and rehabilitation suite including advanced hydrotherapy tubs, medical exam rooms, and the latest recovery technology

  • 93-seat multimedia room with the newest audio and visual equipment for film study and team meetings

  • Spacious boys and girls locker rooms

BCS Athletics Leadership Academy

 

 

The Briarcrest Athletics Leadership Academy was created in 2025 as a resource to enhance the resiliency, mindset, and competitive spirit of BCS student-athletes. Led by High School Athletic Director Matt Saunders, the Leadership Academy meets every other Friday from August to April in the PAC Media Room before school. Guest speakers and Coach Saunders offer motivational and inspirational content to promote positive mental training that will complement the exceptional physical training they receive in preparation for competition. The course is Biblically-based and seeks to develop athletes spiritually, rooted in the Scripture of 2 Timothy 4:7 - Fight, Finish, Faith!
