Applying for admission and for financial aid are separate processes.

Admission to Briarcrest Christian School is based solely upon a student’s qualifications. The amount of financial aid awarded is based on a family’s financial need and available funding.

We recommend completing an admissions application and a financial aid application at the same time. The process for each must be completed and an enrollment contract must be offered to student(s) before aid can be awarded.

If the cost of a Briarcrest Christian School education is beyond a family’s financial means they should apply for financial aid. Income may not preclude the possibility of assistance since other factors such as dependents, other tuition costs, considerable debt (excluding consumer debt), unusual medical expenses, or some other extraordinary financial burdens are considerations.

Financial Aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until award budgets are exhausted.

All financial aid is awarded based on financial need, as determined through School and Student Services (SSS). Briarcrest does not offer any athletic or merit-based financial aid awards. 

Students receiving financial aid awards will be required to participate in the Tuition Refund Plan (TRP)

The entire process is confidential. All financial aid award decisions are made by the Financial Aid Committee. The committee consists of the President, Vice President of Business Affairs, Director of Business Affairs, and the Financial Aid Coordinator.  

According to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA), Briarcrest is not able to offer financial aid greater than financial need, as determined through School and Student Services (SSS). If a family is awarded more than they qualify for, then the student is not eligible to participate in TSSAA varsity sports. TSSAA will receive a copy of the summary of the Report of Family Contribution from SSS.

A family must apply for aid each year through School and Student Services.  Any student currently receiving financial aid may reapply if all current financial obligations to the school have been met. A family may reasonably expect to receive assistance if aid was given the prior year, and if the family’s financial circumstances are similar to those of the prior year.

Briarcrest partners with School and Student Services (SSS) in our financial aid process. All families who wish to apply are required to complete an application and upload all required documents within SSS. The application is a comprehensive application that will take some time to complete. 

Financial Aid is awarded on a first come, first served basis until award budgets are exhausted. If you miss a submission deadline you are still eligible to apply later throughout the school year.

New Students

An application will not be reviewed until ALL Required Documents are uploaded or provided through TaxStatus (Easy Apply direct IRS integration) for both parents/guardians. The exception is the 2025 Tax Returns which are required by April 15.
