Tutoring
Tutoring
Our tutorial program will work to facilitate on-campus tutoring for students in a variety of subject areas during the school day. We offer this program in order to meet students’ individual needs and to promote a successful learning experience for Briarcrest students.
Tutoring sessions may be offered before school, during school (study hall) or after school. Sessions may be individual or in a group setting and are 30-45 minutes in length. Any Briarcrest student is eligible to participate in the tutorial program. Recommendation to enter the program must be made by a teacher and approved by an administrator. Interested parents must contact their teacher before applying to the program.
This program offers students academic assistance in core subjects, assists with homework, grade improvement and other skills needed to improve academic success.

Educational Support Services
Purpose & Goals
The Educational Support Services program (ESS) serves the needs of students with diagnosed learning disabilities and/or attention deficit disorder. Specially-trained ESS teachers support and encourage students on a daily basis in their academic studies, using teaching strategies such as inclusion and classroom shadowing to provide the student with the tools necessary to succeed in the regular classroom and to be prepared for success in the college environment.
Requirements For Program Admission
All students seeking admission into the ESS program must first meet regular admissions requirements as set by the Briarcrest administration. These requirements include an I.Q. score of not less than 100. Those seeking admission into the program must also present an updated psycho-educational evaluation from a certified professional. This evaluation must state the disability, give scores on administered achievement tests, and provide an I.Q. assessment. The evaluation must be dated within the last three years prior to admission. Please contact the Admissions Office or ESS personnel at the appropriate level for information.
ESS students receive extra instructional support in either an additional classroom setting or by having an educational consultant work with the regular classroom teacher in implementing the appropriate modifications.

Career Conference
Career Conference
The Briarcrest Career Conference is a professional, off-site conference for Briarcrest High School Juniors and Seniors to explore careers of interest and learn about new, emerging careers. Briarcrest parents, alumni, and local leaders serve as career representatives and host 30-minute, interactive sessions with our students.
The connections our students make with local professionals in their career fields of interest prove beneficial as they begin transitioning from high school to college to career.
For Career Representatives
Are you passionate about connecting with the next generation of professionals in your career field?
Sign up for the Briarcrest Career Conference today!
Career Representatives connect with our students by sharing how they became interested in their career, what steps they took to begin down their chosen career path, and a few of the most attractive aspects of their career. The goals for our conference breakout sessions are to build connections with the students, provide insight into what success looks like, and offer evidence of living and working as an authentic follower of Christ.
Please click on the links to previous conference brochures below to see who has set the stage for this year’s annual conference.
