  • Grounds Technician

    The Grounds Technician Is primarily responsible for maintaining all outside grounds at Briarcrest Christian School.  This position must be able to work outside for a minimum of 8 hours (lunch and breaks not included) and must be able and willing to work under adverse weather conditions.  The Grounds Technician must be very detail-oriented and have to ability to lift 80 lbs.  
     
    Duties:
    Mowing Lawns, Islands and Common Areas              
    Weed eating                                                   
    Edging curbs and sidewalks
    Flowerbed management (weeding/planting)            
    Hedge trimming
    Tree trimming                                                             
    Mulching
    Backpack blowing                                                       
    Trash removal and clean up
    Field Painting                                                              
    Parking lot painting
    Pressure Washing                                                       
    Minor irrigation repairs
    Minor equipment repairs                                           
    Minor construction projects

    Position Summary

    The Vice President of Business Affairs reports to the President and is responsible for the administration and oversight of the Accounting & Finance, Admissions, Marketing & Communications, Development, Information Technology and Support Operations departments.  The Vice President works with and supports the division level principals in accomplishing the educational goals of the school.  
     
    Minimum Qualification (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Professing Christian
    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA and/or CPA designations are a plus 
    • Significant experience in accounting, finance, marketing, information technology, and business operations management
    • An understanding of and an appreciation for an independent, Christian, college preparatory school education
    • Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
    • Strong organizational skills

    Responsibilities include:

    Coaching all practices and games for varsity and junior varsity level play

    Working with Elementary and Middle School Athletic Directors and coaches to increase interest and participation

    Maintaining good relationships with the soccer community in Memphis

  • Briarcare After-School Positions

    Briarcrest Kindergarten has grown, and we need 2 experienced aftercare workers, one of the two positions will start immediately and the second will begin at semester.

    Aftercare staff should have a heart for children and be willing to oversee a group of children, supervise and engage in play with students. Experience working with children through church, day care, schools or other structured programs is preferred. 
    Hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30-5:30.

    Consideration will be given to individuals wanting to work less than 5 days a week.
