The mission of the Technology Taskforce at Briarcrest Christian School is to develop an ongoing Strategic Technology Plan that encourages and promotes the effective use and integration of technology within the learning process, expands the technical skills of our teachers, and provides adequate, equitable, and stable funding for the implementation of the plan.

Our vision . . .
Our vision for technology at Briarcrest Christian School is to foster an environment that continually promotes academic excellence through the use of current and new technology led by a technologically savvy faculty. We envision a school that:

• leads the Mid-South in the integration of technology
• recognizes the importance of technology in support of academic goals
• progressively commits to adequate funding and staff

Our goals. . .

• Increase the faculty's use of existing technology through expectations, accountability, and ongoing professional development
• Evaluate new technologies when and where needed
• Provide anywhere, anytime access for teachers (i.e., laptops)
• Maintain a reliable and efficient network infrastructure based on industry standards, policies, and practices
• Use technology to better communicate with students and parents
• Provide technology training that is ongoing and integral in all areas
• Allow the curriculum and faculty approach to learning drive the development of technology
• Create school-wide policies for the purchase of hardware and software that are evaluated, adopted, and communicated
• Provide recommendations for adequate, equitable, and stable funding for technology
• Create a list of standard software for each grade level
• Develop a technology "scope and sequence" for grades P3-12
