Course Credits
Students earn one-half credit for each semester course passed with a grade of 65 or above. Students earn one credit
for each year course passed with a yearly average of 65 or above.
Schedule Change Procedures
-
Add
Policy: With
the approval of the principal, guidance counselor, and teacher(s), a student
may add a new course during the first ten (10) days of the semester.
-
Drop
Policy: With
the approval of the principal, guidance counselor, and teacher(s), a student
may drop a course before the end of the first grading period without the
subject being recorded on the academic record. If a student elects to
drop a course after a grade appears on the student’s report card,
a failing grade will be recorded on the student’s academic record.
Exam Exemption Policy
Only seniors may be exempt from exams
in the FINAL semester of a course. A student must maintain an average of
90 or better and have no more than five absences in a semester or eight
absences in a full-year course to be eligible for this privilege, not including
absences for school-sponsored events, academic or athletic competitions,
band or choir trips, or approved college visits. Exam exemption is a privilege.
Absences for ANY other reason other than those listed as school-sponsored
events will count toward the student’s total absences.
-
Textbook
Sales: Required textbooks
and consumables (workbooks) are sold to students in Grades 9–12
through the Saint Shop. Students may use the books as they choose,
taking notes in the book or using the text as a reference and making notes
on other materials. Students may re-sell the books to the school or to
other students. Detailed information about re-sale value of used books
to the school is given inside the front cover of each school-sold book.

give credit for returned books either on the seller’s Saint Shop

Fee will be deducted from the amount of the original purchase price on
the account, on the credit card, or deducted from the purchase price on
the amount of the refund check.
