Conservatory Dance Class Policies
(Updated November 1, 2011)
*Dance classes coincide with the Briarcrest school calendar. If school is in session we will hold classes.
*Tuition is based on two terms payments: Fall (September-December) and Spring (January-April).
*All fees and payments are made in the Briarcrest Business Office.
*Session fees are $200.00 per semester and are billed through the Briarcrest Business Office ($150 for the 3 year old classes). The fee covers the cost of classes and the costume worn in the dance program at the end of each term.
*Students are required to wear proper dance attire to class each week: leotard, pink dance tights, and pink ballet shoes.
*If student needs to withdraw from classes, Parent/guardian will be responsible for tuition in full. Special situations and exceptions are at the instructor's discretion.
*Costume fees are NON-REFUNDABLE once they have been purchased.
*A parent/guardian must notify the instructor, IN WRITING, if my child needs to withdraw from class.
*Bailey Erwin or Briarcrest reserves the right to cancel any class that does not have a sufficient number of students enrolled.
*All students agree to adhere to the code of conduct for dancers and may be dismissed from class for not doing so.
*A parent/guardian must notify the instructor, IN WRITING, if my child is going to miss class.

Thursdays 4:00-5:00 Pre-Ballet/ Pre-Jazz (JrK & SrK)
Thursdays 5:00-6:00 Ballet I/Jazz I (1st & 2nd Grades)
Eads Campus
Monday 3:30-4:45 Ballet II/Jazz II (3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade)
Tuesday 3:30-4:30 Pre-Ballet/ Pre-Jazz (JrK & SrK)
Tuesday 4:30-5:30 Ballet I/Jazz I (1st & 2nd Grades)

10/17, 18, 20 = Fall Break
11/7 = Teacher In-Service
11/22, 23, 24 = Thanksgiving
January 23rd – April 12th
2/20 = President’s Day

Code Of Conduct
*Student commits to holding themselves accountable as well as their fellow dancers to the standards set forth in this Code of Conduct.
*Student agrees to submit to the leadership of Briarcrest Christian School and to the dance instructor.
*Student strives to exemplify the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control (Galatians 5: 22-23)
*Student and their parents commit to encouraging and edifying their fellow dancers.
*Student will strive to live a life of moral and physical purity in accordance with Biblical truth.
*Student agrees to view their body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1), and therefore to abstain from destructive behaviors such as eating disorders, abusing alcohol, tobacco, drugs or any other controlled substances.
*Student commits to arriving faithfully and punctually for all classes, rehearsals, performances and events. Excessive tardiness or absences may result in limited performance opportunities an/or being dismissed form class.
*Student commits to wearing appropriate dance attire, before, during and after classes as outlined in the dress code.
*Student commits to staying focused, participating in class, accepting corrections and investing time and energy in improving their dance technique through diligent practice.
