Building On A Sure Foundation for BCS

Briarcrest Christian School announced the initiation of a $3 million capital campaign on December 15, 2007. The Capital Campaign seeks to raise funds for the construction of an elementary/middle school building at the Raleigh LaGrange Road campus, with an additional goal of $3 million to build an auditorium on the property.

Sophomore Chosen for USAFA Program

Sophomore Kevin Moss has been selected to attend the 2008 SAME/USAFA Engineering and Construction Camp, June 27th – July 3rd at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. BCHS Mission Trip to Africa Benefit Lunch

Grandparents Day at East Memphis Campus

East Memphis Campus students in Preschool (3 year olds) through first grade participated in the annual Briarcrest Christian School elementary Grandparent's day program. BCHS Student Selected for Junior Olympic Camp
Owen Harris, BCHS senior, has been selected to attend the Junior Olympic Development Camp at the Olympic Training Center at Ft. Carson, CO.

Second Grader Wins City-wide Art Contest

Brianna Pope, a second grader in Kathy Cooper's class at the East Memphis Elementary campus, recently placed first place in Memphis for first and second grade classes for her "Fire Prevention Week" poster. Brackens Repeats as 200 and 500 Free State Champ

BCHS Senior swimmer Lindsey Brackens was once again State Champion in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle at last weekend's Tennessee High School Swimming and Diving Championships in Nashville, TN.

Brackens is set to swim for the University of Tennessee-Knoxville this fall. The Saints standout, who was named Top Girls Swimmer of this same meet last year, swam a 1:48.78 to win.
