|  Building On A Sure Foundation for BCS

Briarcrest Christian School announced the initiation of a $3 million capital campaign on December 15, 2007. The Capital Campaign seeks to raise funds for the construction of an elementary/middle school building at the Raleigh LaGrange Road campus, with an additional goal of $3 million to build an auditorium on the property.

Before the Christmas holidays, Leawood campus students in Preschool--Grade 5 participated in a collection drive for the LeBonheur Children's Hospital Bunny Room. The Bunny Room at LeBonheur provides a toy of choice to each surgery patient and is a source of great comfort and encouragement to the children being treated at the hospital. "Give thanks with a grateful heart” is what preschoolers at Briarcrest Christian School are doing. Preschoolers in Mrs. Oakes’ and Mrs. Hansen’s classes collected items for a BCS graduate, Jimmy Suggs (BCHS '02). He is serving his third tour of duty in Iraq. |  Brackens Repeats as 200 and 500 Free State Champ

BCHS Senior swimmer Lindsey Brackens was once again State Champion in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle at last weekend's Tennessee High School Swimming and Diving Championships in Nashville, TN.
Brackens is set to swim for the University of Tennessee-Knoxville this fall. The Saints standout, who was named Top Girls Swimmer of this same meet last year, swam a 1:48.78 to win.
