6th Graders Tour the State Capital
The first stop in the tour of Tenessee's State Capitol building was the Press Room on the first floor of the capitol building.

Next we toured the Legislative Law Library upstairs.

A birds eye view of the State Legislative Chambers followed.

The scavenger hunt at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park was lots of fun. Students scavaged for answers to a Tennessee History Questionnare- all answers could be found on granite structures through out Bicentennial Mall.

While at the Bicentennial Mall a Long Gunman Guide gave the history of Tennessee's long gun.

Mr. Long helps the boys in his group hunt for answers at Bicentennial Mall.

A BBQ lunch buffet and line dancing was next at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.

Mrs. Laurie shows the group how Line Dancing is supposed to be done!

After lunch the buses loaded up and we headed to the Adventure Science Center. On the way there we passed Tennessee's Parthenon.

The fieldtrip ended back at the park where we took a group shot before boarding the buses and heading back home. A big thanks goes to Mrs. Powers and Mrs. Schofield for organizing such a fun fieldtrip.
