East Elementary End of Year Party!

It is almost time to celebrate the end of another school year.  Our party is going to be great!  We will meet at school at our regular time on Thursday, May 22nd, and then carpool over to America’s Incredible Pizza Company in Cordova, arriving about 9:00.  We will have access to games and activities for one hour followed by an all you can eat pizza buffet and salad bar.   We will have the entire place to ourselves until 11:00 when they will open to the public.  This is being sponsored by the Elementary PTF and there is only a small charge for your elementary student to enjoy a morning of fun, food, and friends!

While this is an event for the East Elementary students, we understand that many have siblings not in the elementary.  They are also invited, but you will need to cover the costs involved for them and yourselves.  Sorry – no friends.

Return the form that came home last week* (also see link below) along with your payment by May 5th to be entered into a prize drawing!

*Your child must meet here at school in order to receive their ticket to the Pizza Co.

*2-5th grade parents, please let your teacher know if you are willing to take other students to the Pizza Co.

*Your child must be picked up from the Pizza Co. by you or someone you have designated on the transportation form at 11:00.

Mr. Chuck Visits BCS Elementary

Mr. Chuck from WKNO, Channel 10 visited Mrs. Oakes and Mrs. Hansen’s preschool class.  Mr. Chuck promotes children’s programs that help kids learn social skills and supports curiosity about the world.  The characters on PBS children’s programs set good examples.  Mr. Chuck teaches respect, kindness, and consideration.  He entertained the children by playing a rhyming and opposite game.  He also read a few stories that emphasized opposites which we have been studying in our classroom.  It was a great fun filled day.  The children enjoyed meeting a “famous” person!
